20th Anniversary Campaign
This year, Vanderbilt Hillel celebrates its 20th Building anniversary and is commemorating this event with a 20th Anniversary Campaign. The 20th Anniversary campaign includes upgrading our building security, enlarging and updating the meat kitchen, and creating more usable office/work space. In addition to the building changes, Vanderbilt Hillel seeks to invest in large scale programs, initiatives, and speakers that capture the imagination of the campus with topics such as Judaism, Israel, and social programs. Our current staff size is not sufficient to meet the needs of the over 1,000 Jewish students on campus. We intend to expand our staff by hiring Springboard Fellows in areas such as Jewish Education, Jewish Life, Student Engagement, Innovation, and Social Justice as well as a Senior Jewish Educator or Campus Rabbi. We plan to use campaign funds to launch a strategic planning initiative for Vanderbilt Hillel.

Kitchen Naming Campaign
Honoring Goldie Shepard and Sylvia Shepard

As part of the 20th Anniversary Campaign, we are honoring Goldie Shepard and Sylvia Shepard, our two wonderful and dedicated women who cater our Shabbat and holiday meals, this year by naming the kitchen, "The Goldie Shepard and Sylvia Shepard Vanderbilt Hillel Kitchen." All funds raised for the Kitchen Naming Campaign will be used towards the kitchen renovation.
